Target Dining Chairs
I did look at a few cane back chairs from Target when I was shopping for them back in 2020. Even though cane chairs have been around a long time; a few years ago they were just really starting to make a comeback. There wasn’t a lot of options, but Target had a few. Designer dupes from the McGee & Co.’s line came to Target making it possible to effortlessly achieve that high-end look for less! Walmart Cane Back Chairs
Walmart has recently been stepping up their game with their own brands but also the great online-only furniture pieces they have. There are so many good-quality, trendy pieces available. Also, Walmart offers free shipping with larger orders and usually has better pricing than other online retailers. My favorite are these GDF Studio French Country (Set of 4), which is under $550 for a set of four chairs! That is a great price especially with free shipping!

I’ve purchased a few home decor items from Wayfair and have not been disappointed. Pairing Cane Back Chairs with Other Furnitre
When I updated our dining room at our home in Virginia, I needed to keep the current table. We had the table custom made back in 2005, it’s solid wood, heavy, great quality and not going anywhere anytime soon. I love it and even though styles changes; it’s still a timeless piece.
I wanted to blend the traditional turned leg dining table with a little bit more modern cane back dining chair to mix the styles a bit. While I didn’t want something too modern, I also didn’t want to go with overly traditional or french-country. These dining chairs seemed to have a transitional feel to them.
You can blend different styles together. Like I have in our dining room – traditional style wallpaper with board and batten, brass chandelier, a traditional style farm house table, sisal herringbone rug and these awesome blue nail head vintage captains chairs from FB Marketplace.

I have a walnut 2 pedestal table, and wondered what color of caned back chairs I should purchase.
Sounds lovely..since it’s walnut it is likely darker so I would go with lighter tone wood chairs or even black depending on your style.
