When we moved to Tennessee, we purchased a property on seven acres, a main home at the front of the property and a barndominium and large shop on the back of the property. My dream was to buy land and build a custom home, but timing, budget and the supply chain really hindered that dream. When this property became available, through a private sale, we knew it was meant to be.
We are located just a short ten minute drive to Tennessee’s oldest town – Jonesborough, TN.

Barndominium Air BnB Rental
Our Barndominium Air BnB Rental is a little over 2100 square feet with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, dining area, gourmet style kitchen, enclosed front patio and a covered back patio. The space has an indoor and outdoor working fireplace with private, quiet views from either patio.
There is a bedroom upstairs with an attached full bathroom and a bedroom downstairs and full bathroom in the hallway.
The barndominium is spacious enough to spread out and accommodates up to six guests for sleeping with a maximum occupant during the day of ten guests for dinner or gatherings.

Barndominium Air BnB Rental Setting
Our Barndominium Air BnB Rental is situated on the back end of our property with complete privacy.
The back patio overlooks lovely fields and trees and is quiet and secluded. I love that our rental lies within the heart of a rural setting yet is still close enough to grocery stores, shopping, dining as well as hiking and other outdoor activities.
Perfect country living with scenic views. While sitting on the patio, you might catch wild turkeys and deer roaming across the yard.
Barndominium Front Patio
Let’s head inside. The first space is the enclosed patio. This space is great to use about nine months out of the year or spring, summer and fall seasons. It is not heated or cooled but the temperature is pretty well regulated throughout the year.
My son and I built the twin size patio swing bed and it’s perfect for napping or reading a book. This is a great space that can feel like another living room area allowing guests to really spread out in a variety of spaces.

The entire space is open making it nice for everyone to enjoy. The barndominium living room is spacious with two sofas, two chairs and a large coffee table making it easy for everyone to gather around. Play games, enjoy a snack or just and relax.
The television is mounted to wheeled art easel and can easily be moved around the living space for easy viewing. Sit back and relax in this space with your family and friends.
Barndominium Dining Room
I love the open concept of the living room and dining area making it easy for everyone to gather in the same space, but still have enough room to be comfortable. The dining table consists of a large solid wood table and ten chairs to accommodate everyone for dinner, board games, snacks or crafts. I love that the floors on the main level are concrete making it easy to keep clean.

The barndominium kitchen has so many wonderful and unique features making this kitchen anything but ordinary.
The large cast iron farm house style sink is just so unique and the large stainless steel gas range is perfect for creating meals together. This kitchen is stocked with plates, pots and pans, flatware, glassware, baking sheets, a stand mixer and so much more. I love to entertain and this space is set and ready for you to host some guests.
Bardominium Primary Bedroom
The main bedroom is on the first floor down the hallway and holds a lovely king size poster bed. Everyone who has stayed at our barn says the mattress is so comfortable they don’t want to get out of bed. This room sleeps two people and is spacious while still being cozy and offers a nice private retreat from the rest of the home.

Bedroom Sources
Barndominium Loft Bedroom and Bathroom
Up the steps you will find another bedroom and full bathroom with a tub/shower combination in case you find yourself wanting to soak away the cares of the days.
In this room you will find four vintage spindle beds painted a warm shade of green that compliments the pine wood walls. My mom offered the idea of making the space more of a bunk room with individual beds to accommodate children or groups. That way, everyone would have their own bed.
I added vintage horse prints above each bed and mixed and matched the bedding, blankets and pillows. This is my favorite room with its wool plaid blankets and little vintage art gallery wall. This room has a walk-in closet and a nice size full bathroom with a farmhouse style cast iron sink and antique dresser.

Barndominium Back Patio
This space is one of my favorite spots to sit, relax and stair out at the back fields. If you sit there long enough and stay still; you will get the chance to see our lovely wild turkeys saunter across the field. You might even catch some deer and we have spotted a bear twice, but that’s pretty rare.
A stone fireplace and lovely outdoor living room and dining table make this just one more place to gather with friends and family or enjoy some quiet time.
